Taking the gloves off!
Spatially Relevant was named one of the Top 100 blogs or something by The Daily Reviewer, an Alltop like list, but there aren’t 100 product management blogs, so it appears it’s like top 24 or something which is even cooler. I’ve been lucky enough to be listed on Alltop as well in both branding and product management which is good stuff as far as I was concerned since I’m with the likes of Bob Corrigan, Christopher Cummings , Steve Johnson, Scott Sehlhorst but I’ve never really seen it as much of a competition – until now.
Yesterday I was excited to see that April Dunford @ Rocket Watcher linked to me as well, since I do believe she’s got a way cool blog and over the 2+ years and 500 posts this was a first for Spatially Relevant, but it got a little bit weird at the end of her post, which is where the link was.
I did notice that Rocket Watcher is not enjoying the top row position that it currently does on Alltop however I’m quite confident that once I work my marketing magic on whoever the Guy Kawasaki equivalent is over there I’ll bump those Web Ink Now / Lead on Purpose / Spatially Relevant dudes right out of their top row spots.
Not that I’m competitive. I just like winning.
I’m not really sure what to say, but we all know that David Meerman Scott‘s blog, Web Ink Now, kinda rocks and he’s got a really cool space gear collection, has very reasonably taste in music, so it will be hard to do better than him on all kinds of levels for both of April and I, but since I too like competition – I’ll keep trying. I guess this basically means game on, right?
So I guess I’ll offer April a guest post from a blog with a better row position on the daily reviewer to help her out a little? Yes I’m a little transparent, I’m secretly trying to see if I can get a guest post on Rocket Watcher,.but minimally looking to get cooler content here… have you seen her position on Alltop? Now that would be a coup!
So I’m trying to not only suck up to Dunford, any one on either the Alltop or The Daily reviewer list could do a guest post, no need to reciprocal either, just April since sometimes you do deals with competitors, it just has to be mutually beneficial.
Congrats to everyone on both lists and here are some others you might want to check out.

well it worked – we are both on the same row now. I don’t mind being second tier – it’s actually an upgrade for me anyhow. I’m glad you have SR in your reader and if it took knocking me out of the top slot, then I’m good with it.
Thanks for the mention, you know it is just gratifying that people are starting to consider Product Management a subject worthy of consideration as opposed to irritation!
I’m not sure we as product managers aren’t seen as an irritation, just now we are seen as a necessary and moderately valuable irritation by most.

LOL! I was just kidding about that whole bump-you-off-the-top-row thing – honest!
Please come and do a guest post at Rocket Watcher. I just recently subscribed here and I love this blog!
April
P.S. Where did you get that photo of me? Has my mother been on flickr again?
